Daldar Dhamrait
Daldar was born in the hill town of Dartford, in the lower valley of Kent, England.
He had an interest in drawing from a young age. In 1989, Daldar was apprenticed to the local artist Frank Stubbs, whose workshop was one of the finest in the region. Exposed to both basic training and a vast range of technical skills including woodwork, metalwork, artistic skills of drawing, painting, sculpting and ceramics.
By 1996, Daldar qualified as an illustrator at the University College Falmouth Cornwall.
By tradition his works are of the realism style with an influence by the Old Masters and Renaissance artists. Daldar's previous works lean more towards the intricate smaller scale illustrations. Although an interest still remains with realism, his works have transformed into impressionistic marks emerging from the realistic style. The human figure continues to inspire him and thus becomes a focal point under current narrative.
Daldar has instructed workshops at Peel District School Board including Thorndale Public School, Morning Star Middle School and Glendale Public School.
Daldar currently works and resides in Toronto Canada.
